Setting Printer Info

It may be difficult to accurately identify printers in Printer Setup Utility's Printer List window, especially IP printers that may be identified by only an IP address. Fortunately, you can modify any entry and change the name to something more descriptive and useful. You can also provide location information to help others find where the printer is physically located. To modify printer information, select a printer in the Printer List window and choose Printers > Show Info (Command-I).
